Jonathon Seed, the Conservative Party candidate in May’s police and crime commissioner election in Wiltshire, appeared by video link before Oxford Magistrates’ Court this morning charged with breaching election rules.
He is accused of making a false statement contrary to Article 21 of the Police and Crime Commissioner Elections Order 2012.
Seed entered a plea of not guilty and requested trial by jury. The case will now go to Oxford Crown Court on 18th November.
