A bloodied and battered brown bull lurcher type dog which was stolen in South Yorkshire three years ago has been taken to a Surrey RSPCA centre after it was found dumped in a garden Coulsdon, London on September 2.
The RSPCA believe the dog, which was covered in blood and infected wounds and unable to walk or properly lift his head, had been used for badger baiting.
The dog called George is very lucky that he was dumped in the garden of woman who called the RSPCA to help him. When dogs used for badger baiting are badly injured they are frequently killed with a blow from a spade and buried in the badger sett.
Sadly George will not be reunited with his former owners as although he had microchip they are now unable to take him back.
Hopefully he will be re-homed once he has recovered from his ordeal.
