Following on from yesterday’s blog we will be looking for a number of actions from the various individuals and bodies involved.
We are looking for Shaun Sawyer the Chief Constable of Devon & Cornwall Constabulary to review the actions of his officers policing in the area on the day of the offence. We are also looking for the Chief Constable to take firm action to ensure that members of the public within his area are never again left to deal with armed criminals without police support. The Chief Constable can be contacted by email or on Twitter.
We are looking for the Police & Crime Commissioner Alison Hernandez to ensure that the Chief Constable does this. She can be contacted by email or on Twitter.
We are looking for the Puddington Parish Council to consider if one of its members has brought it into disreput by his criminal activities. The council can be contacted by email.
We are looking for Natural England to review whether an individual convicted of a wildlife crime against badgers is a fit a proper person to be licensed to take part in the badger cull. Natural England licensing can be contacted here.
We are looking for the Eggesford Hunt that apparently employed both individuals at the time of the offence and the Pytchley with Woodland Hunt to which one of them subsequently moved to consider carefully whether they should be employing wildlife criminals. The Eggesford Hunt can be contacted here and the Pytchley with Woodland Hunt via their contact form here.
We hope that others will be politely but firmly asking these questions too.
