A police investigation is underway after an otter was killed by being trapped in an illegal crayfish net in Dalry, Dumfries & Galloway on Friday 2nd October. The animal was found in the net which had been set on the Water of Ken at a point near the town’s Ayr Road. Anyone with information should contact PC John Cowan the division’s Wildlife Crime Officer on 101.
